Reaching Beyond Ourselves

Reaching Beyond Ourselves (RBO) is a ministry that coordinates social justice projects serving basic human needs while bringing a Christ-centered model of service to local, underserved communities.

Hope for Children is a ministry dedicated to supporting families who have opened their home to vulnerable children through adoption, foster care, the Safe Families for Children program or other means. We firmly believe that caring for children is the responsibility of the entire church body, and as such we offer a wide array of resources to help families practicing biblical hospitality to these little ones. Support may include but is not limited to childcare, meals, clothing, household items, furniture, baby supplies, help with transportation, respite care, counseling, coaching, prayer support, and more. If you are considering welcoming a vulnerable child into your home, please notify us of your intentions so that we can support you. If you have a heart for this kind of work, join our team! Contact Joanna Kruse via email or call 630-725-0686. If you are interested in more information about the process to become an adoptive parent or Host Family, contact our local Bethany Christian Services office.
